The Junior Reader Program was formed in 1987 to prepare young parishioners to proclaim the Word of the Lord.

Sixth grade through high school students prepare to proclaim the second reading at 9:00 AM,  10:30 AM, 12:00 noon and 5:00 PM Sunday Masses. Practice is typically held on the Monday before the first Sunday of the month from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM in the church. Detailed instruction is given. The Mass is studied and pronunciation and presentation are equally stressed. A three-month preparation period is recommended before reading at Mass. Contact Catherine Werner at 732-349-0018 ext. 2229.
