When serving as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion (EEM), volunteers assist the Priest and Deacon in the distribution of Holy Communion at the Mass.

Some EEMs also distribute Holy Communion to the sick at the Hospital, to the Home bound, or to others not able to be present at the Mass.
