St Joseph’s Parish, a faith sharing community, provides a Faith Formation Program for children (grades 1 through 8) who attend public school. This program offers our children the opportunity to share in our Catholic heritage, rich in scripture, liturgy, doctrine and tradition. Our Faith Formation Program includes:
We will announce the dates for the Summer of 2019 for grades 1-8 in late December and registration will start in January.The registration form will be available on our website or it can be mailed to you by request. Please print and mail back the registration form along with the completed Academy Card. You may also drop it off during normal business hours to the Religious Education Office.

Parents have a choice of one of two weeks. Classes will be available for grades 1 through 8. A Sacrament Fee will be applied to all students preparing for First Communion and Confirmation.
♦ A completed Academy Card with each registration form (a completed Academy card includes a minimum of 3 stamps from Academy Activities).
♦ Early Bird registration fee of $150 per child, plus sacrament fees where applicable (after February 28 the registration fee will be $200 per child).
♦ Payment in full is expected at the time of registration; however, a 50% deposit of the total due will be accepted, with payment in full due by March 31 2019.
♦ Students who receive free or reduced lunch will be eligible for a reduced rate; please call our office for details.
After February 28, the registration fee will be $200 per child and will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Parents must register NEW students to the program in person. Registration in the parish is required. If you live outside of our parish boundaries you must be registered in the parish one year prior to enrollment. Original baptism certificates and communion certificates (if applicable) must be presented at the time of registration.
NEW STUDENT registration will begin on Monday January 14, 2019 and will be accepted during regular business hours Monday through Thursday until February 28. Baptism and Communion certificates (if applicable) are required at the time of registration. This includes children who will be starting First Grade in the fall of 2019.
Children and parents are encouraged to participate in all parish activities. The focus of the program is to guide our children in forming a deeper relationship with God and the community through the Scriptures and the Sacraments, especially the Eucharist.
Faith Formation is a life-long journey sustained and strengthened through Prayer, Celebrating the Sunday Liturgy, receiving the Sacraments, especially the Eucharist, and Service to the needs of others.
Professional teachers, who are practicing Catholics, are always welcome to join our Catechetical team. Catechists’ Programs of training and certification are provided.
