A Faith Sharing Community

St Joseph’s Parish, a faith sharing community, provides a Faith Formation Program for children (grades 1 through 8) who attend public school. This program offers our children the opportunity to share in our Catholic heritage, rich in scripture, liturgy, doctrine and tradition. Our Faith Formation Program includes:

  • Sacramental preparation programs for Reconciliation, Eucharist and Confirmation, involving parents and children
  • A summer intensive program for grades 1 - 8

Please print (landscape) and mail back the registration form along with the completed Academy Card. You may also drop it off during normal business hours to the Religious Education Office.

MARK YOUR CALENDARS! Parents have a choice of one of two weeks. Classes will be available for grades 1 through 8. A Sacrament Fee will be applied to all students preparing for First Communion and Confirmation. Please read the following information carefully.

Summer Religious Education Academy 2019

Monday, July 8, 2019 through Friday, July 12, 2019


Monday, July 15, 2019 through Friday, July 19, 2019

♦ Parents have a choice of ONE of these two weeks
♦ This program is opened to registered parishioners in grades 1-8. Children entering 1st grade in September 2019 are eligible
♦ Registration forms for new and returning students will be available on out website on January 7, 2019
♦In person registration will begin on Monday, January 14th 2019 and will continue during regular business hours Monday through Friday until February 28th. Baptism and communion certificates (if applicable) are required for all NEW students
♦A COMPLETED academy card must be submitted with each registration form (A completed Academy card includes a minimum of 3 stamps from Academy Activities)
♦Early bird registration fees are available in January and February to students with completed Academy cards. Early Bird fees are $150 per child, and $400 for a family of 3 or more children, plus sacrament fees when applicable.
♦Students without Academy Cards, and registrations received after February 28th, will be charged the full rate of $200 per child; or $500 for a family of 3 or more, plus sacrament fees when applicable.
♦ Payment is expected at the time of registration; however, a 50% deposit of the total due will be accepted, with payment in full due by March 31, 2019.
♦Students who receive free or reduced lunch will be eligible for a reduced rate; please call our office for details
♦Registration forms submitted with a completed Academy Card will be given priority status- all others will be processed after February 28th in the order in which they are received.

Parents must register NEW students to the program in person. Registration in the parish is required. If you live outside of our parish boundaries you must be registered in the parish one year prior to enrollment. Original baptism certificates and communion certificates (if applicable) must be presented at the time of registration.

NEW STUDENT registration will begin on Monday January 14, 2019 and will be accepted during regular business hours Monday through Friday until February 28th. Baptism and Communion certificates (if applicable) are required at the time of registration. This includes children who will be starting First Grade in the fall of 2019.


Children and parents are encouraged to participate in all parish activities. The focus of the program is to guide our children in forming a deeper relationship with God and the community through the Scriptures and the Sacraments, especially the Eucharist.

Faith Formation is a life-long journey sustained and strengthened through Prayer, Celebrating the Sunday Liturgy, receiving the Sacraments, especially the Eucharist, and Service to the needs of others.

Professional teachers, who are practicing Catholics, are always welcome to join our Catechetical team. Catechists’ Programs of training and certification are provided.
